Hey Solomon, even though I am a junior in college, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. You helped me evaluate my positive qualities and now I understand what I’m good at. I’ve always been good at numbers, so now I want to be an accountant. I wouldn’t know that if you didn’t speak at the Career Planners Conference.
Sincerely,
— James Cooper
Today you spoke at the Leadership Training Conference for high school students and you rocked it. lthough I must say, you can’t dance that good. Lol. But when you said “in order to be a good leader, you have to be a good follower” I agreed with that 100%. You even got the crowd involved which helped out a lot. You definitely are a good leader and I hope to be more like you one day.

Solomon, you are to young people what Oprah Winfrey is to women. You are honest, relatable and very inspirational.

I have been a high school administrator for over 35 years. And when I say NEVER, I mean NEVER have I seen a speaker with so much in common with my students. You are hands down the best, most relatable speaker that has ever come to our school. I am retiring at the end of this year, but I would pay money to see you speak again. You have a special gift Solomon. Continue to do what you are doing. God clearly has a plan for your life and that’s working with youth!

Solomon you are a really good speaker. I really liked the way you helped us remember to set goals and I know that I will remember that because it was really easy. Most speakers that we have are usually boring but you kept me woke. I really look up to you and I hope we can get you to speak to us again. I already set and reached my first goal thank you

Your speech at the BDP Leadership conference was awesome. Diversity is an issue that I wish more people would be willing to accept. Your acronym made it easy for me to remember. I’m planning to start a campus group at school and I will be using a lot of your “ACTION GUIDES” and I will be implementing a lot of your strategies for relating to people of other races. I will keep you posted on what I put together.

I’ve always struggled with accepting other races. I don’t even know why. I think it is because of how my parents raised me. But after your talk about Diversity, (which I think is awesome btw), I have learned to accept other people for who they are. Like you said, when we were born, we didn’t ask god to make us a certain race. That made me realize that we are all the same.

MVP, MVP, MVP, Even though our basketball team isn’t the best team you really helped us understand what it takes to have a championship mentality. I liked the way you brought Andy and Garrett on the court and you made basketball relate to life. That was cool man

Growing up in the inner city really toughened me up and I always have tough stuff to deal with. Part of your speech was on dealing with adversity and I found myself in a situation and I used 1 of your points. I couldn’t believe I was doing it, but it worked. If I didn’t listen to what you said I might be in juvenile hall right now.

Hi Solomon, my name is Demetri Sanders and you were one of the speakers at the Young Entrepreneurs conference. You are young enough for us to relate to and old enough for us to look up to. I want to start a business one day and you really helped me understand the entire process of starting a business. I thought it was hard to start a business, but you made it seem so easy. When I do start my business, I will DEFINITELY give you a shout out.

Lol, you started off your talk with a rap and I thought that was the coolest thing. Most adults dont listen to us, but you talked to us after your talk was over and you seem like you liked talking to us. I wish more adults were like you!

I am a junior at Oakland High school and your speech on setting smart goals really helped me. I always set goals, but that was super duper helpful. I don’t always pay attention when speakers come here, but the energy and excitement that you had really kept me listening.

I was in the crowd when you spoke at the boys and girls club of America keystone conference. You are the realest speaker that I ever heard. I’m sorry about your mom dying. As soon as I got home I told my mother how much I love her. You inspire me.

You are one of a kind Solomon. I have NEVER seen somebody dribble a basketball on the stage before. And you are sooooo funny. You are able to impersonate Bernie Mac and the governator (lol) and you did the bird walk dance. That is the most fun that I have ever had at an assembly b4. All my friends were talking about you after you left.

Hi Solomon, my mother died last year and when you talked about handling adversity and what you did when it came to your mother, that helped me a lot. I still miss her everyday, but you really showed me how to deal with her loss. I didnt want anybody to see me, but I cried because it was just that emotional for me. I’m glad you spoke from your real life and that made me really like you.

Solomon if I had to rate you on a scale from a 1-10 I would give you a 8. The only reason you didn’t get a 10 is because that would mean you were perfect. You started your own business and now you spend your time helping other people start businesses and live their life right. When I grow up I want to be just like you. Can you be my mentor?

Our Students absolutely loved you…. You really do know how to relate to young people. Some people are born to do certain things in life and you were definitely put on this earth to positively impact the lives of young people. I look forward to bringing you back next year. As long as I work here, I hope we can get you to come back. Great job Solomon, you are phenomenal.

You spoke at our school today and I like listening to you more than I like listening to my own teachers. But don’t tell my teachers I said that.

I don’t even like speakers coming to talk to us. But you helped me be comfortable with who I am. You said, “Everybody is special and everybody is unique.” I think I always knew that but when you said it it just made sense. I will never forget that. Thank you.

I think that if I would have heard you speak before, I would have not had to go to community college. I feel like I would have been able to go to a four year university. From high school to college is a talk that ALL high school students should have to listen to. You said some stuff that I never thought of before and I will definitely apply your principles. I liked when you told us about having better relationships with our teachers will help us get into college. That’s a good idea.

We had the pleasure of having Solomon speak at Oakland High School today and I can’t tell you how impressed I was. Solomon talked about topics that the students could relate to and respond to. He did a great job inspiring them and helping them believe in themselves. I was really impressed and we welcome Solomon back any time.
