About Solomon

Solomon Wilkins is a Speaker, a Business Consultant, a Success Coach and an Author. His passion for developing leaders has put him on a personal crusade to empower young people with the tools, tips and techniques to pursue life and leadership with passion, purpose and power!

Solomon is smart and silly; he’s focused and funny. His mission is to get you from where you are, to where you want to be. His style is engaging and his programs are motivating!

Solomon Wilkins’ life is a great example of the fact that you don’t have to come from a great background to live a great lifestyle.

• He grew up on public assistance in a single parent household!
• Oakland California, the city he grew up in, had, and still has some of the highest crime rates in the country!
• His father was killed in a drive by shooting when he was nine years old!
• In High School, he was labeled with a learning disability!

Despite the above mentioned obstacles, Solomon refused to be another "statistic." After high school, Solomon was rewarded with a College basketball scholarship. After College, he took a job as the Teen Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco. His primary focus was to collaborate with community youth providers and research solutions to problems that were prevalent in the teen community. He was also responsible for facilitating career and leadership workshops. His programs were so successful that he ultimately doubled program participation.

Eventually, Solomon’s love for basketball led him back to the basketball court. He played one year in the American Basketball Association (ABA), and two years in the International Basketball League (IBL), where he was a two time all-star and ranked as the 16th best minor league basketball player in the United States.

After basketball, Solomon decided to try his hand at Corporate America. His drive and ambition led him to the Cintas Corporation, a publicly traded fortune 500 company worth an estimated 3.8 billion. Solomon was handpicked by upper level Management to seek out and acquire new business for the fastest-growing business division in the company. Solomon consistently met and exceeded his monthly sales goals which led to him being asked to lead multiple sales and training meetings.

In addition to traveling and speaking, Solomon currently works as an Executive for one of the top retail corporations in the world, with an estimated net worth of $65 billion dollars. In 2008, Solomon formed Solomon Wilkins International (SWI), LLC., SWI provides books, motivational presentations, DVD’s, CD's, workshops and leadership conferences, all aimed at youth groups, teens, colleges and corporations.
